“Welcome To The Illustration” (track 1) was the first mixtape track recorded.
“Beautiful” (track 20) was the last mixtape track recorded.
“Daylight Savings Freestyle” (track 25) was actually recorded on March 13, 2011 (the day 2011 daylight savings began).
“Is You Ain’t My Baby” (track 12) features the sound of Nitro Fresh pounding an empty beer bottle with a screwdriver.
“Celebrate” (track 16) features the sound of Jonnie Storm opening a can of beer.
“Don’t Wanna Fall In Love” (track 11) features King Dro who rather wanted to call himself “ART” on the track.
LRC The Man, King Dro and Julie C are also featured artists on the debut LP “Cereal Box Superheroes”
Jonnie Storm and LRC The Man are also as known as Blak Swan. They had recorded two (2) mixtape tracks, “Sweet Berry Wine” (track 17)and “Blak Swan Freestyle” (track 22).
There are twelve (12) tracks that feature talk-box by Nitro Fresh. Sound sources include Alesis micron and Apple iPad2.
Originally, Jonnie Storm wanted to do the mixtape solely based on Flying Lotus’s beats. Nitro Fresh did not like the idea, then asked Jonnie Storm to try some mellow, jazzy beats as well.
Jonnie Storm suggested M.C. Escher’s illustration “Drawing Hands” to use as a reference for a cover of the mixtape.
